The Beef Liver Beginnings
Hi, I'm Jay, and beef liver changed my life. Sounds strange, doesn't it? Allow me to explain. It all started two years ago when I was lethargic and covered in acne. I was trying everything to heal my skin, prescription and nonprescription. I had read online about the potential skin benefits that come with eating beef liver, so I went and bought some. And no, this isn't one of those stories about love at first sight. It was disgusting! But the crazy thing is- it worked. My skin cleared up and my energy skyrocketed. I began to notice differences in every facet of life and I didn't realize it was from the beef liver until I stopped eating it and felt lethargic again.
A Beefy Miracle
I committed to eating liver daily, and I haven't looked back since. Fast forward to the present, I have clear skin, feel stronger than ever, and most importantly, I am alert and present all day, without caffeine. The unique nutrients that beef liver supplies (which we are often deficient in) gave me a noticeable energy boost that I still rely on every single day. On top of this, I noticed my skin clear up and that's when I knew I had to share this with others. The issue is, beef liver itself is often not the most tantalizing suggestion for the dinner menu... Further, every liver product out there was either overpriced or had weird ingredients ('natural flavors,' anyone?)
Simple Valley Was Born
I founded Simple Valley (with all of my beef liver energy!!) as a way to make beef liver delicious and accessible for everyone in the form of a protein bar. We use real, whole food ingredients with a focus on macronutrients to leave our customers satiated and ready for whatever their day throws at them. As an athlete, eating enough high-quality protein is a priority to me which is why every Simple Valley bar also contains 20 grams of bio-available protein (something that is uncommon in other real-ingredient or "primal" protein bars).
